Funding

The Funds are held on behalf of VECCI by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation (LMCF) and distributed to businesses via a charitable organisation.  

Managed by the LMCF in perpetuity, the VBRF is protected within the structure of the Foundation and is governed by an Act of the Victorian Parliament.

The capital basis for the Fund is comprised of donations received from business organisations, governments and the public in addition to the income derived from investment of the funds received.   VECCI will continue to actively fundraise for the VBRF.

The amount of capital and income to be distributed will be determined at the time immediately following a natural disaster based on available funds, applicant numbers and level of hardship experienced.
