BOAV membership – recent changes

As a result of changes within the VECCI membership structure, the BOAV Board has approved the following changes to the BOAV membership structure:

  • BOAV membership fees will no longer be based on Full Time Employee numbers.
  • VECCI membership benefits will now be separated from those of your BOAV membership.

Why the change?
Members largely join BOAV to support the industry and get expert advice and information.

By separating BOAV and VECCI membership, BOAV members can enjoy greater freedom of choice and affordability. This makes BOAV membership even more accessible to our smaller and regional operators, as they are able to choose the membership benefits that best suit their unique needs and budget.

More importantly, this change will also allow BOAV to focus more on the sectoral benefits and core needs of our members, allowing us to increase our reach across Victoria and the strength of our sectoral representation.

How will it work?
Existing members have the option of retaining their current conditions and benefits until the 2011 membership renewal date, after which their membership will transition to the new membership structure. Members will be reminded in writing of the transition in advance of their 2011 renewal.

Existing members will also have the option of adopting the new subscription rate and member benefits prior to 2011 at their next renewal date after 26 October 2009.

What is the new membership offer?
Effective 26 October 2009, BOAV members will now be offered the following membership options:

  • Renew BOAV and VECCI membership.

This option provides all the BOAV benefits (see above), as well as vital VECCI services that offer invaluable peace of mind in a challenging economic climate, particularly important for those members with specific IR and OHS requirements. These include:

Investment: varies based on the level of VECCI membership (Gold, Silver or Bronze). For more information, contact VECCI Member Services on 03 8662 5333 or visit the VECCI membership page.

  • Renew BOAV membership only.

This option entitles you to all the BOAV member benefits, but does not include any of the VECCI services, such as industrial/workplace relations advice, industrial award subscriptions or VECCI member discounts. See the key BOAV membership benefits above.

Investment: flat rate of $295 inc GST, or $195 inc GST for regional operators.

Whatever membership option suits your business, you can be assured that your support will mean BOAV and VECCI will continue to deliver the representation and services your business deserves.

For more information, please contact VECCI Membership Services on 03 8662 5333.
