VECCI is Victoria’s largest and most influential employer association and has been effectively representing Victorian business interests for almost 160 years. We are committed to leading business into the future.

VECCI’s mission is to be a trusted advocate for business, to be respected for our abilities to monitor, forecast and honestly describe the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities facing the business community. 

Our focus is on consistently providing leadership, information, advocacy and advice to businesses to ensure that Victoria is, and remains, a great place to invest and do business. 

We are proactive and results oriented in our advocacy efforts and have achieved a number of significant, practical wins for business in recent years. Our work has won Victorian business:

• Over $5 billion in payroll, land tax and work cover premium reductions that save Victorian business money and time. 
• Over $249 million in red tape reduction and further commitment to cut red tape by $500 million – much of this in local government and employment-related regulation which will save us all time and money. 
• Extension of the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Completion Bonus and 15,000 more training places, entitling Victorian businesses to payments of up to $4,500 per apprentice.
• A dedicated assistance fund for disaster affected small businesses following the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires and the 2011 floods. This provided over $790,000 to struggling businesses when other funding sources were not accessible.
• Funding commitments for major infrastructure projects to support business investment.
