Why we developed this program
People management skills have a significant impact on an organisation's bottom line. And yet the latest Hudson Report Survey reveals people management as the most serious failing of Australian leadership.
The report suggests managerial selection and development should focus on the ability to identify, understand, use and manage emotions, as these four strengths - commonly referred to as 'Emotional Intelligence', 'EI' or 'EQ' - are vital to improving managerial capability and creating truly effective and sustainable organisations.
The good news is that, unlike IQ, emotional intelligence can be developed. By teaching you how to think intelligently with emotions - perceiving, expressing, understanding and managing emotions in a professional and effective manner - this workshop style program will improve your emotional intelligence and help you apply it effectively to your workplace.
This program has been designed and is facilitated by a Registered Organisational Psychologist.

- Knowing your emotions: understanding emotional patterns and the effect of your emotions on your behaviour towards others

- Building relationship skills to increase your personal power and impact in the workplace
Pre-program requirements
Participants are required to complete an on-line Emotional & Social Competence questionnaire at least 1 week before the program commences and will receive a personal, confidential report during the program. This report gives participants feedback on key emotional and social competencies which will be discussed during the program.
Optional 360-degree review (for onsite courses ONLY)
You can choose to complete a 360-degree EI assessment, where you nominate three or more people - including managers, direct reports, clients and peers - to assess you on your EI competencies. This type of review gives you critical feedback from the key people with whom you work.*
