Introduction to WorkCover Management
One of VECCI’s Business Excellence courses
Why we developed this program
Authorised WorkCover Agents manage WorkCover claims in accordance with the Accident Compensation Act, but the employer must manage the injured worker and the workplace. Many employers mistakenly believe that it is the Agent's role to do both.
Even more importantly, WorkCover management at an employer level is much more than simply sending off the paperwork to your Agent. It requires day to day monitoring of the progress of claims and injuries in the workplace, liaising with key parties and, most importantly, ensuring WorkCover claims are managed efficiently to minimise liabilities and maximise bottom line considerations.
This program provides you with a basic understanding of the WorkCover scheme, plus the know how to manage claims and implement strategies by working with an Authorised Agent to achieve results. It also covers essentials, like completion of claim forms, entitlement to compensation and medical certificates
