Negotiation and Mediation Skills

One of VECCI’s Business Excellence courses

Everyone becomes a winner through negotiation.

Effective negotiation requires a healthy balance between "getting" and giving", It is a two-way street where active participation in the decision-making process from both sides is a key focus. It also provides a way for two sides to learn how to understand each other better and build a relationship that achieves a win/win outcome.

Mediation is intended to achieve a way forward for people to keep working together harmoniously. While they may be prepared to genuinely resolve their differences, frequently parties may find it difficult to reach common agreement without the intervention of a competent and impartial third party.

An effectively-run mediation not only allows both sides to have their needs heard but to reach agreement on a way forward. The mediation process offers a great opportunity for employers as an alternate dispute resolution avenue. Historically, this opportunity has often been overlooked and business has not received the benefits arising from this avenue.

This course provides you with a practical overview of the mediation and negotiation process as well as tools and tips to help you achieve what you want from a negotiation while maintaining important relationships. To give greater value, the skills taught in this course are designed to be applicable in a variety of situation - from work to home life or in the community.
