Sourcing from China
China is one of the best countries to source many products, but how do you find the best suppliers there? Finding reliable suppliers that offer products that are good value and of a consistent quality requires thorough investigation. Sino Access team in China can work with you to take the guesswork out of sourcing.
When selecting suppliers, you should consider:
- is the supplier a manufacturer or trader (many Chinese companies appear larger than they are)
- does your supplier have an export licence, or will you need to arrange export documentation through a licensed import/export company
- will they supplier offer flexible payment terms that allow for some proportion of payment after delivery
- has the supplier exported before; who are their existing customers
- what quality control processes does the supplier have in place; do you need to arrange third-party production and pre-shipment inspection
- will the supplier provide samples and material test reports?
The only way to trust a supplier fully is by placing a small trial order.
