VEIC Ministers Luncheon with the Hon. Tim Holding - 19 June 2009 

The VEIC Luncheon with The Hon. Tim Holding MP was held on Friday 19 June at Melbourne Park in the exclusive Players Lounge.  VEIC members were fortunate to be privy to this new venue, as it is usually reserved for exclusive players events during the Australian Open. 

Over twenty VEIC members and guests discussed key issues with Minister Holding and industry colleagues.  Points raised included:  enhancing the capacity of Victoria’s events industry and maximising its potential as a centre for global events expertise; developing a central labour database for events organisations to share staff; measuring the benefits of events-related public policy; and fending off event competition from other States, as well as many others.  

VEIC would like to thank Harry the Hirers for supplying the linen on the day, Style by Nature for their beautiful floral arrangements and Melbourne and Olympic Parks for allowing us to hold the event in their exclusive Players Lounge.
