The VECCI Executive Council has resolved that our Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 23 November 2010 at 5.00pm.

Pursuant to Rule 20 of VECCI’s Rules, I hereby call for nominations for candidates to fill six vacancies on the VECCI Executive Council. These vacancies occur by rotation and each of the retiring members is eligible for re-election.

In accordance with Rule 20 of VECCI’s Rules the following retiring members are nominated for re-election:

• Kevin Brown
• Don Rankin
• David Abela
• Dan Feldman
• Graham Sherry
• Robert Van Stokrom

I now call for any additional nominations, which must be addressed to the Returning Officer and lodged at the registered office of VECCI at 486 Albert Street, East Melbourne 3002, no later than Tuesday 14 September 2010. Nominations submitted must be signed by the candidate and four members of VECCI.

Pursuant to Rule 20A of VECCI’s Rules, I hereby call for nominations from VECCI’s Regional Members for candidates to fill the position of Regional Chairperson in each of VECCI’s five regions, namely Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland, Geelong and Wodonga.

Nominations must be addressed to the Returning Officer and lodged at the registered office of VECCI at 486 Albert Street, East Melbourne 3002, no later than Tuesday 14 September 2010. Nominations submitted must be signed by the candidate and four members of VECCI from the candidate’s region.

The Rules governing these elections may be viewed at the registered office of VECCI, or at the office of the General Manager of FairWork Australia, Level 4, 11 Exhibition Street, Melbourne.
