Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) will be holding there quarterly forum on Wednesday 10 March 2010 to discuss the controversial issue of the new Code Red warning system.
One year on from the devastation of Black Saturday, this forum will address the topic, ‘Code Red/ Catastrophic – What are the impacts for Victoria’s tourism industry?’
Learn how the introduction of a new fire danger rating and communication system may impact on Victoria's tourism industry.
Special guest speakers and experts will be addressing the audience, for what promises to be an insightful and informative session:
- Ewan Waller - Chief Officer, Fire and Emergency Management, DSE
- Steve Baird – Tour Operator, Bogong Horseback Adventures
- Peter Corish – CEO, Victorian Caravan Parks Association
The event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and following the Forum, guests are invited to stay for networking drinks and canapés until 7pm.
