Export Information

The right paperwork makes the export process run smoothly. We can advise you on which forms you'll need, who can provide them (often we can) and how to complete them.

Two of the most important documents are Certificates of Origin and ATA Carnets , and VECCI is an approved body to issue both.

A Certificate of Origin may be required by the overseas buyer, the people receiving your products, or by customs officials in the nation you're exporting to. We can also register you to participate in advantageous trade programs such as the Australia-Thailand Free Trade Agreement ( TAFTA ).

An ATA Carnet will allow your goods temporary duty free admission into our through a country, such as when exhibiting or presenting to prospective buyers. It is the system used worldwide and VECCI is the National Guaranteeing Organisation in Australia and the only issuing body in Victoria.

Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin is a specific document identifying goods and containing an express certification by a government authority or other empowered body that the goods originate in a specific country.

Many countries require their import documents to include this certificate. They may also require commercial invoices and/or other documents to be endorsed by a Chamber of Commerce

For further information on Certificates of Origin, please view the attached Certificate of Origin Explanatory Notes and then Register Online!

ICC Publication

Incoterms, the official ICC rules for the interpretation of trade terms, facilitate the conduct of international trade. Thus the uncertainties of different interpretations of such terms in different countries can be avoided or at least reduced to a considerable degree.

Incoterms 2000 plus other ICC publications can be purchased from VECCI.
