Eligibility Criteria
An employer may attract the special $1,100 Innovation Australian Apprenticeships Commencement incentive, provided that the Australian Apprentice:
  • Is undertaking an approved Innovation Australian Apprenticeship Certificate III/IV.
  • Has not previously been eligible for the special Innovation Australian Apprenticeships Commencement incentive; and
  • Meets one of the following criteria:
The Australian Apprentice:
  1. is eligible to attract the standard Commencement incentive; or
  2. has undertaken a Certificate II which attracted a standard Commencement incentive and is now undertaking a Certificate III or IV level Australian Apprenticeship; or
  3. has attained a Certificate II qualification through a pathway other than a Australian Apprenticeship and is now undertaking a Certificate III or IV level Australian Apprenticeship that is relevant to the qualification held.
