There are over 150 Australian Apprenticeships that have been approved as skill shortage occupations or trades within the following industries:

  • Aeroskills
  • Agriculture
  • Automotive
  • Community Services
  • Electrotechnology Entertainment
  • Construction
  • Food
  • Hairdressing
  • Horticulture
  • Information Technology
  • Hospitality
  • Seafood
  • Metals & Engineering

Rural and Regional Areas

The Australian Apprenticeship must be undertaken at a workplace within a Rural and Regional area. Your Training Consultant will be able to advise you if you are eligible to receive this.

The Rural and Regional Incentive is payable three (3) months after the commencement date of the Australian Apprenticeship and applies to Certificate III and IV level 'skill shortage' Australian Apprenticeships.

The Australian Apprentice must be eligible for the standard commencement incentive to receive this additional incentive.
