VECCI has appointed a new manager in the Gippsland region - Mr Roger Detering.
"VECCI has developed a renewed structure for the delivery of services in regional Victoria, and this new appointment will drive member service in the Gippsland area", says VECCI State Manager - Regions, Mr Rob Lucas.
"Gippsland is an important part of VECCI's regional network and Roger's appointment signals a continued commitment by VECCI to regional members and to the broader business community, particularly when other bodies are pulling out of the regions.
"Roger brings a wealth of experience to VECCI and has an outstanding practical knowledge of local business needs, having worked in the building and construction, industrial services, recruitment and human resource industries.
"Roger also has a strong customer service philosophy and is committed to adding value to members businesses through timely advice and delivery of services."
"This appointment comes at a time when VECCI's voice and influence is now stronger than ever, having won for its members significant benefits in the Victorian Government's April Economic Statement.
"These include land tax and WorkCover premium reductions, as well as further progress toward channel deepening in Port Phillip Bay - issues that we have been lobbying for since the 2002 State election campaign.
"Gippsland is an important region for VECCI - Roger and I look forward to helping Gippsland businesses meet the challenges presented over the next financial year and beyond", says Mr Lucas.
