Water Management and Pricing Impacts on your Business
10/15/2004 1:22:51 AM

Submissions to the Essential Services Commission (ESC) from metropolitan and regional water businesses on their final water plans are now in place. The plans detail proposed charges for water, sewerage and other related services for the three year period commencing 1 July 2005.

Further to this, the Commission has developed a summary paper which provides a high level overview of the key aspects of the businesses' proposed Water Plans and identifies some of the issues likely to be relevant in the Commission's assessment process. As part of this assessment, the Commission has established a consultation process for business and the community to provide feedback on the businesses Water Plans and the issues raised in the summary paper.

As a member of the ESC Customer Consultative Committee, VECCI encourages members to participate in the consultative process. The Commission invites submissions from interested parties either in writing by no later that Friday 5 November 2004 or by attending one of the public forums to be held around the State.

Details of the public forum schedules along with copies of the summary paper are available on the Commission's website http://www.esc.vic.gov.au/
