The Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) has appointed Nicole Sweeney as Regional Manager for the North West Region, based in Bendigo.
"This new appointment will drive member service in towns such as Bendigo, Mildura, Echuca, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Swan Hill, Rochester, Woodend and Gisborne, as well as other locations in North West Victoria", says VECCI Chief Executive Officer, Neil Coulson.
"North Western Victoria is a key part of VECCI's regional network and Nicole's appointment signals a continued commitment by VECCI to regional members and to the broader business community, particularly when other bodies are pulling out of the regions."
Nicole brings a broad range of skills and experience to the organisation from various HR and economic development roles at both state and local government levels.
She has a sound knowledge of local business needs, having worked in the Economic Development Unit of the City of Greater Bendigo for the past three years, managing programs to support the growth of the local workforce, primarily in the manufacturing sector
Before moving to Victoria, she enjoyed a progressive career in the Queensland State Government in policy development and human resource advisory roles.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resource Management, and Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
