VECCI JOINS THE CENTRE IN NEW PARTNERSHIP
3/3/2006 5:12:42 AM

A new partnership has been announced today between The Centre and the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI).

For over 42 years, The Centre has been providing quality education, training services and community development opportunities in North East Victoria and beyond.

The Centre, a community-based organisation operating from two locations - Wangaratta and Benalla, has strong alliances and partnerships with governments of all levels, businesses, schools and community groups. It is committed to working with individuals, enterprises and communities to build skills and knowledge, creating opportunities together.

"The Alliance Agreement signed recently focuses on broadening The Centre’s suite of training services by enabling VECCI to promote and deliver industry training programs in the Goulburn and North East Region", says The Centre’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Danny O’Donoghue.

"VECCI is delighted to be partnering with The Centre", says VECCI Manager - Business Training and Consulting Jacqui Boughton.

"Some of the VECCI training programs to be offered through The Centre include topics covering: Leadership; Communication Marketing; OHS; WorkCover; Recruitment & Selection; Industrial Relations; and Harassment/Bullying Contact Officer programs.

"This initiative will assist VECCI with the delivery of programs in regional centres, especially in terms of finding suitable facilities. We view this partnership as an ideal opportunity to trial a different approach", says Ms Boughton.

"We know that VECCI programs are highly valued by business and participants alike and see this as an opportunity to make more people aware of the programs VECCI have on offer locally", says Mr O’Donoghue.
