SME key decision makers to benefit from strong speaker line-up at Visa-VECCI Sales and Marketing Conference
2/1/2007 3:20:56 AM

The Visa/VECCI Sales and Marketing Conference will target key decision makers among Victoria's fast-growing small and medium enterprise (SME) sector.

This all-day event is a lively forum focused on giving SMEs a competitive edge by adopting the latest promotional techniques as well as smart ways to maximise market growth and draws speakers from successful enterprises such as the Victoria Racing Club, the Australian Football League and Tourism Victoria. It will take place on Thursday 15 February 2007 at Telstra Dome.

"Some of the best new ideas have come from small to medium enterprises. With technology and innovation constantly changing our business environment doing business smarter separates the successful from the stagnant. This Conference is all about doing business smarter", says Visa International Executive Vice President, Australia & New Zealand Bruce Mansfield

"Visa is pleased to be involved in this important event to help Victorian small businesses to gain an edge in a dynamic and competitive business environment", says Mr Mansfield.

"There is no doubting the importance of small-to-medium enterprises to the Australian economy, both in terms of their number and their impact, with an estimated 1.2 million SMEs in Australia", says VECCI CEO Neil Coulson.

"VECCI's aim is to nurture this sector by enabling access to the latest trends and market leaders in key fields", says Mr Coulson:

During the day, SMEs will learn, among other things, to: understand the changing marketplace for Victorian businesses; implement brand management and marketing strategies; and create and retain customers
